Welcome to the English gateway of HuSir.org.
This site is primarily presented in Chinese, while selected content and introductions are also available here in English. The blue italic text below is a translation of the Chinese text above. Due to the rules of the platform I use, I am currently unable to present it directly in English, so the translation is provided below, for our mutual encouragement. I deeply hope that voices from the Land of Gloom may be heard by the world. I hope that more and more people will come to understand China(Land of Gloom), and its Christians, through this website.
In many people’s imagination, faith is merely something spoken inside a church.
But in real life, faith often appears in far more complicated places—
within institutions, between human hearts, and in an age of fear and silence.
What this website records is not abstract theology,
but the long reflection and lived experience of an ordinary person
seeking faith, conscience, and freedom amid the realities of the Land of Gloom.
It is a record of honest reflection on faith, society, and the human heart.
Life unfolds in many winding paths;
many faiths drift into the making of idols.
Through wind and frost, experience must still be weighed with discernment;
but the heart that follows Christ grows ever firmer.
Journey of Faith, Reflection, and Freedom
Welcome to HuSir.org.
This website does not record abstract theology. It records the long inner journey of an ordinary man living within the reality of the Land of Gloom — thinking about faith, conscience, freedom, suffering, repentance, and hope.
Here you will find writings on Christian faith, family, illness, social reflection, inner freedom, and the search for truth in an age of fear, silence, and confusion.
My hope is simple: to bear witness to what I have seen, what I have suffered, what I have learned, and how faith in Christ continues to sustain a person even in dark times.
Life takes many paths.
Many faiths drift into idol-making.
Through wind and frost, truth must still be discerned.
But the heart that follows Christ must stand firm.
