(EN ver. inside)

  • 开始认真核对自己家里的账、村里的账、社区的账;
  • 开始在宗祠和聚会中要求平等、透明与公正;

Reclaim Your Right to Audit — A Practical Guide for Ordinary People to Break Through Daily Constraints

By HuSir

Opening: Who Is Actually the Master of This House?

Before discussing specific actions, we must clarify a fundamental logic: the right to audit.

In any normal contractual society, the person who pays is the “Master,” and the person hired to get things done is the “Servant.” The Master takes a portion of their hard-earned income (taxes) and entrusts it to the Servant to build roads, run schools, and maintain public order. Since you’ve paid, you naturally have the right to know where the money went. Therefore, for the Master to glance at the ledger and ask, “How was this spent?” is not only a natural-born right but a duty to prevent the family estate from being squandered.

However, within the survival logic of the long-standing Clouded Kingdom, this relationship has been inverted. Because the Servant holds the keys and controls the guards, they have transformed themselves into the “Patriarch,” even demanding gratitude from the Master. This “Master-Servant Inversion” is the root of all injustice. Reclaiming the “Right to Audit” is essentially about flipping this upside-down identity back to its rightful state, allowing everyone to return to their inherent dignity.

Foreword: Don’t Wait for a Lighthouse; Become the Light

We are always waiting for a grand moment—waiting for the managers to have a “moment of clarity” and voluntarily reflect, or for an ideal system to fall from the sky. But history tells us that power never reflects of its own accord. Real change begins with the tens of millions of ordinary people who are no longer willing to “just get by.”

If you feel that tearing down a high wall is too difficult, remember this: the foundation of that wall is built on ten million lies. If you stop lying, a brick falls out of the wall. This is a practical guide that doesn’t require you to be a martyr; it only requires you to be a “Smart Master.”

I. Cognitive “Wall-Jumping”: From “Begging for Favors” to “Calculating the Ledger”

The most successful illusion in the Clouded Kingdom is making you feel that sunlight, air, and your daily bread are some form of “benevolent blessing.”

 * Reflective Practice: In daily conversation, completely excise terms like “Parental Official” (benevolent ruler), “Debt of Gratitude,” or “They are doing it for our own good.” These words are “mental sedatives” that force you to kneel psychologically before you even realize it.

 * Actionable Step: Try to view administrative agencies as a “Large-Scale Property Management Company” that you hire. When the streets are broken, the service windows are cold, or expenses are increased for no reason, you must clearly express—within the safety of your family and private circles: “I pay expensive property fees. If the service is not up to par, I have the right to question it, and even more so, the right to leave a bad review.”

 * Goal: To dissolve the “sacredness” of power, stripping away false halos and demoting it to a public service contract that must pass an audit.

II. Ancestral Practice: Rehearsing “Autonomy” in the Fortress of Bloodlines

In the atomized society of the Clouded Kingdom, the Ancestral Hall is one of the few pieces of land that hasn’t completely turned to sand. It is not just a place for worship; it is a natural “Town Hall” for the people.

 * Reflective Practice: Reject “small circle” decision-making and patriarchal autocracy within the family.

 * Actionable Step:

   * Financial Transparency: When repairing halls, revising genealogies, or managing clan assets, firmly demand that “accounts be posted on the wall and every cent be audited.” This is not just to prevent corruption; it trains clan members in the sense of procedural justice.

   * Independent Mediation: When family or neighborhood disputes arise, try to resolve them through public discussion within the clan or through elder mediation. Every time a group achieves self-governance, the hand of public power is forced to shrink back by an inch.

 * Goal: To establish a transparent, autonomous micro-environment independent of external interference, preventing the tentacles of centralized power from penetrating every cell of the grassroots.

III. Buddhist Awakening: Establishing a “Mental Special Zone” Through Truth

In the Clouded Kingdom, the Buddhist concept of equality (that all beings possess Buddha-nature) is the ultimate spiritual weapon for resisting servility and maintaining independence.

 * Reflective Practice: Acknowledge that “going with the flow just to gain a small advantage” is essentially exhausting one’s own merit. Persisting in the truth—even if it just means remaining silent—is a form of spiritual practice.

 * Actionable Step:

   * Refuse to Abet: If the environment is too dangerous for you to cry out loudly, then when your workplace or community demands you sign your name to praise the absurd or participate in false displays of loyalty, learn to refuse using “technical excuses” or remain silent. By not becoming a link in the chain of lies, you protect the “Spirit Mountain” within your heart.

   * Heritage of Truth: The dinner table is the best classroom. Tell your children the true stories of the family; tell them what their grandparents went through. If every family has a “True History” without makeup, the false dogmas produced on assembly lines will lose the soil they need to survive.

 * Goal: To let the flow of lies “stop at your doorstep” and carve out a sanctuary in the spirit.

IV. The Way (Dao): Releasing the Authentic Self and Returning to Inner Truth

Beyond the “contractual self-governance” of ancestral traditions and the “awareness of equality” in Buddhist thought, Daoism offers another path—how to preserve one’s own authenticity and freedom within a complex reality.

Many admire the freedom of Zhuangzi, and resonate with Wang Yangming’s idea of “realizing innate knowledge.” Yet if this remains only a matter of inner cultivation, without entering real life, such freedom remains fragile.

True “attainment of the Way” lies not only in inner clarity, but in gradually living out a more authentic self within the real world.

§ Reflection in Practice: Beginning with Self-Cultivation and Reclaiming the Power to Define

In everyday life, many concepts have been repackaged to the point that people unconsciously adopt ways of expression that are no longer truly their own.

Within safe and trusted environments, one can gradually restore the ability to interpret and define reality through one’s own understanding.
When certain terms no longer accurately reflect reality, it becomes possible—at least internally or within family conversations—to use language that is closer to lived experience and truth.

This reclaiming of language is not an act of confrontation, but a process of re-understanding reality.

§ Practical Steps: Creating Small Spaces for Truthful Expression

  • Restoring Language:
In family or trusted circles, try to use expressions that more closely reflect actual conditions, reducing reliance on vague or euphemistic language.
  • Self-Examination:
Gradually recognize that “getting by” is not always a sign of maturity, but can become a form of long-term self-erosion.
Evaluating life with greater honesty is an important step toward clarity.
  • Family as a Space:
Within the family, reduce performative conformity.
Allow conversations to reflect real experiences and genuine feelings.

§ Goal: Making the Individual and the Family the Starting Point of Truth

As individuals begin to restore truthful expression within limited spaces, the family can gradually become a stable environment for independent understanding.

Such a space does not require outward confrontation, yet it can cultivate an inner clarity that is not easily replaced.

As more people preserve this authenticity in their own lives, the previously uniform narratives within society may begin to show subtle fractures.
Truth does not always begin in public spaces. It often begins at the smallest, most personal level.

V. The Ant-Hole Effect: How to Gently Spread the Truth

A dike of a thousand miles collapses from an ant hole. In the Clouded Kingdom, direct confrontation is often heavy, but the deconstruction of interests is invincible.

 * Strategy: Bind Interests, Deconstruct Power. Don’t talk about grand, empty concepts. Talk about concrete risks: “If doctors are afraid to tell the truth to meet quotas, we will take the wrong medicine. If the economic ledgers aren’t truthful, our retirement money will vanish. If we don’t even have the freedom to report a leak in our group chat, what guarantee do we have for our homes?”

 * Actionable Step: At every family gathering or neighborhood chat, pass along a piece of truth based on common sense. When neighbors who were used to “just getting by” start discussing “this public expense doesn’t look right” with you, the rights that were once locked away have actually begun to come back to life in those subtle discussions.

Conclusion: Constitutionalism Is Beneath Your Feet

The reason some refuse to reflect is that they have judged us to be a crowd of slaves who only pursue immediate gains and have no principles.

When tens of millions of people in the Clouded Kingdom:

 * Begin to seriously audit their own home accounts, village accounts, and community accounts;

 * Begin to demand equality, transparency, and justice in ancestral halls and gatherings;

 * Begin to refuse to “perform” in front of the next generation and protect the most basic authenticity.

In that moment, the grand illusion built on lies loses its audience, and the cost of maintaining that distorted order will become unimaginably high.

You don’t need to climb over physical walls; you only need to climb over the wall in your heart first. When the “Master” truly awakens and begins to rightfully demand an audit, the “Servant” who was once a bully can no longer act willfully in this house.

This “One Step Away”—please cross it starting today, with your first word of truth and your first detailed audit. This is not about politics; it is about the daily life of every individual.
